Corydalis cava

Corydalis cava (L.) Schweigg. et Körte (syn.: C. tuberosa DC.) (S, C and E-Eur.) – An exceptional, very locally naturalized relic of cultivation. At present only known from a few localities near Ermeton-sur-Biert (Lannoy 2006). At this location Corydalis cava is very well established and its local spread towards the valley of riverlet Molignée was recently reported (Saintenoy-Simon & Lannoy 2010; see also records since 2008 in Sosoye). Around 1861 also found near Etalle but probably gone now. A record from Martelange in 1997 requires confirmation.

Corydalis cava is native close to the Belgian frontiers (western Germany and northeastern France). However, all Belgian records are clearly non-native (old estates, parks, etc.).
