LS3-Powered 1987 Mazda B2000 SE-5

This 1987 Mazda B2000 SE-5 spent time in Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia and was modified with the installation of a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 and a 4L65E four-speed automatic transmission prior to the seller’s acquisition in 2022. It is finished in Light Beige with multi-color side graphics over two-tone vinyl upholstery, and additional modifications include an aluminum driveshaft, a Ford 8.8″ rear axle, an aftermarket air intake, an aluminum radiator, 18″ wheels, KYB shocks, a Pioneer stereo, and a Viper remote start system. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale. This B2000 is now offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean Georgia title in the seller’s name.

The truck is finished in Light Beige with multi-color side graphics. Additional exterior details include black bumpers and trim, a sliding rear window, B6200 side badges, a locking fuel door, mud flaps, a receiver hitch, and a bedliner. Chipped paint and faded trim along the body can be seen in the photo gallery.

Bronze-finished 18″ wheels are mounted with 275/40 Radar Dimax R8+ tires, and a spare is mounted to an under-chassis carrier. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes reportedly sourced from a Ford Mustang, and the truck is equipped with KYB shocks. The seller reports Toyota drop spindles and power steering were fitted under previous ownership.

The bench seat is upholstered in two-tone brown vinyl and joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. A Pioneer stereo is housed in the center stack, and a Viper remote start system was installed. The cigarette lighter plug is missing.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 110-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 84k chassis miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.

The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was installed under previous ownership and was fitted with an aftermarket air intake and an aluminum radiator. Additional modifications are said to include an LS7 Stage 2 camshaft, a 92mm throttle body, Accel ignition components, and polished exhaust headers. Air conditioning components have been removed, and the seller notes an oil change and idle adjustment were completed in preparation for the sale. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4L65E four-speed automatic transmission and an aluminum driveshaft. A Ford 8.8″ rear axle was reportedly installed under previous ownership.

The Carfax report indicates no accidents or other damage and lists history in Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia from the first entry in 1991.
