Summary[edit]

Description A rescue swimmer is lowered from a U.S. Navy Sikorsky SH-3H Sea King (BuNo 152710) Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 17 (HS-17) "Neptune's Raiders" during a demonstration held as part of a dependents day cruise aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). The helicopter's AQS-13B dipping sonar hangs beside the swimmer. HS-17 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 13 (CVW-13) aboard the Abraham Lincoln for a deployment to the Atlantic Ocean from 2 to 29 August 1990.
