Mongolian Bells Clematis

Clematis integrifolia 'PsHarlan'

Plant Details:

Plant Type: Perennial
Plant Family: Ranunculaceae
Plant Description: A compact variety of clematis. It does not need staking and is well suited for edgings and borders. Bell shaped blooms of pink, white, lavender and blue appear in May and continue until September. The plant can be cut back to the ground after the first flush of blooms to encourage upright growth or it can be left to form attractive seed heads in the fall.

Maintenance:

Maintenance Type: Perennial - Herbaceous
Plant Care: Perennial - Herbaceous (soft-stemmed plants that die back in winter and regrow in spring): Remove spent blooms to promote rebloom later. Some plants tend to flop over after the first bloom and attempt to regrow from the base; in these cases, the old stems can be cut away in summer. As plants become dormant in the fall, remove dead leaves and stems.
