Jill made her name with the very highlighted portraits of young crying children. Her most known works were of this style. Jill used the most in studio light possible to make her muse look as defined at possible.
One of her better known works is the cover art for the hit TV series Dexter. Michael C. Hall is perfectly capture to reflect his twisted character in the series. Very well one of my favourite portraits of all time. Some of Jill's impact is reflected in acceptance of photography today. Some may find her work disturbing but still show it praise.
Not only is Jill able to capture human toddlers crying, but she is able to successfully create portraiture of live animals. In this shot, she did a great job at capturing the happiness and youth of this monkey.
This portrait of a dog is brilliantly lighted. Whats's incredible about Jill is that she is able to capture the human in animals. This portrait of this dog displays real time human emotions. This is a technique that will be hard to replicate.
