1. Original Name: Green Sausage. Also known as Green Sleeves.

2. History:
A variety from the USA. Developed by well-known American tomato breeder Tom Wagner as early as in 1984 (under the name of Green Sleeves). Its name was later changed for Green Sausage.

3. Plant Specifications: One of the rarest and most attractive and exotic varieties. Mid-season. Short bush growing 1.6-2.3 feet (50-70 cm) tall. The plants have long and thin leaves, which is not a disease but a unique characteristic of the variety. A good choice for growing outdoors or in a greenhouse. The variety is very prolific and the plants produce a lot of fruits.

4. Training Instructions: No training is required. Staking is recommended otherwise the long stems will need too much space on the ground.

5. Shape and Weight:
Long plum-shaped (Roma) fruits being 2.7-4 in. (7-10 cm) long. Weight: 2.1-2.8 oz. (60-80 g).

6. Color: Bi-colored fruits being yellow and green when fully ripe, with distinct dark green streaks. The flesh is light green in a cut.

7. Flavor Profile: Sweet with a fruity flavor. The flesh is firm, sugary and soft, and there are very few seeds.

8. Culinary Use: This variety is perfect for canning. Due to their convenient shape, the tomatoes can fit into any can. The color of the tomatoes makes them a real decoration for your table in winter. It should also be noted that this variety is a good choice for making colored ketchup (being green in this case) as the flesh is meaty and there is little juice.
