This shrub can make a brilliant hedging or screening plant if planted in rows where the dense foliage will create some privacy. Suiting many other locations, planting schemes and garden types forming a well loved all round garden plant.

Corylus Maxima Purpurea care

The Corylus Maxima Purpurea will thrive in Full sun and partial shade with moist, well drain chalky soils. Generally disease free and minimal pruning makes the Corylus a good plant for gardeners of all abilities and confidence levels in gardening. Naturally this shrub will form a strong structure by itself, however in spring may benefit from a very light prune removing any dead of damaged branches and any which begin to mishape the plants natural growth which will encourage a lovely shape and bushy, healthy growth.
