Eleocharis palustris (Common Spike Rush) is a species of perennial herb in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to North America, United States, Greenland, Western North America, The Contiguous United States, Canada, Alaska, and Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon. They have simple, broad leaves and brown flowers. Individuals can grow to 1.3 feet.
