Golden Globes 2014: Watch Jaqueline Bisset's crazy speech

Jacqueline Bisset won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Miniseries, or TV Movie. Bisset won for her role in the British series Dancing on the Edge, which aired on Starz last year. Bisset took her time ascending to the stage, briefly stopping to say hello to her End of the Game costar Jon Voight. Then her speech started. Kind of. A very emotional Bisset looked a bit shocked, offered a meandering thank-you to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Midway through, she appeared to chastise herself: “Scottish Background to the Front!” After a “sh–” slipped through, part of her speech was censored by NBC. The play-off music started and stopped and then started again. There was an Ejiofor shout-out. She gave some good advice for, like, life. This was the second speech of the night. This lady was in Bullitt.

Backstage, Bisset said she was startled by how quickly her category had come up in the show. “I was told that my category was coming up second to last, so I was absolutely stunned,” she told reporters. “I wondered why the guy was there with a camera filming me. I thought, ‘What’s he looking at here?’ I was completely out of it. I kept thinking, ‘Where’s my dinner?’ And I still haven’t gotten the dinner I was expecting. I can’t really remember what I said.”

When a reporter pointed out that it was quite a process for Bisset to get to the stage, she asked, “Did it take forever? I saw Jon Voight on the way there and got a kiss from him, which was lovely. Sorry it took so long!”
