I take it they are then Arctium Minus ?

It was a busy roadside, so I expect somewhere more quiet.

But I have seen them around.

Looks like correct identification.

Native to Europe, edible when young...

I usually see butterflies next to busy roadsides, same as less busy... And like to get some additional interest in my pics... My own peccadillo....
