Wrestling Announces 2023-24 Schedule

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard wrestling will travel across the country to compete in multiple tournaments before beginning its 2024 dual schedule, Jay Weiss  the David G. Bunning '88 Head Coach for Harvard Wrestling, announced today.

Coming off a successful 2022-23 campaign that saw the program win four of its last five matches including a big win over long-time rival Princeton University, the program looks to build on the 2023 season.  The team carried its regualr season success into the EIWA Championships where Diego Sotelo, Philip Conigliaro, Joshua Kim, and Yaraslau Slavikousk all qualified for the NCAA Tournament in Oklahoma – the most Harvard has sent to the tournament since 2010.

To open the 2023-24 schedule the Crimson will compete in the Journeymen Classic in Bethlehem, PA on Nov.12. The following weekend, the program will return to Pennsylvania for the Keystone Classic in Philadelphia on Nov. 19

Heading into December, Harvard travels across the country to compete in the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational on Dec. 1-2 before pausing for the winter break.

Returning from the holidays, the program starts its last tournament stretch of the season with the Midlands Tournament on Dec.29-30 in Evanston IL, and the Franklin and Marshall Open in Lancaster, PA on Feb.5 before shifting their focus to the dual schedule season.

Harvard opens its dual schedule with a Thursday doubleheader in Davidson, NC against Lock Haven and Davidson on Jan.11 before making the quick trip to face UNC on Jan.13.

The Crimson return to Cambridge on Jan.20 for its home opener against Sacred Heart at 2:00 p.m. at the Malkin Athletic Center before hitting the road again the following weekend. The program heads to Ithaca, NY for their first Ivy matchup as part of a Saturday doubleheader. Harvard will face-off against Cornell at 12:00 p.m. and Binghamton at 6:00 p.m. on Jan.27.

In a big Ivy weekend, the Crimson host Princeton on Feb. 3 and Penn on Feb. 4 at the MAC to conclude its home schedule. Harvard will face Princeton first at 12:00 p.m. before wrapping up the busy weekend with a Sunday showdown with Penn at 12:00 p.m.

Harvard then shifts its focus to the championship season as the program heads to Bucknell to compete in the EIWA Championships on Mar.8-9. Following the EIWA Championships, the program looks for another successful trip to the NCAA Championships in Kansas City, MO on Mar. 21-23 to conclude the 2023-24 season
