  • Broadleaf evergreen shrub, forms a 1 x 3 ft (0.3-0.9 m) loose mat.  Leaves alternate, simple, about 2.5 cm long and very narrow (3-5 mm wide), lustrous dark green.  Flowers bright pink, 13 mm across, 6-8 per cluster (umbel), fragrant.  Plant somewhat reminiscent of Evergreen Candytuft (Iberis sempervirens).
  • Part shade, needs good drainage. "...very fastidious as to culture"...(Dirr, 1990, p. 288).
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 6      Native range from Spain to southwest Russia.
