Angelica sylvestris (lat. Angelica sylvestris)

Biennial herbaceous plant with medicinal properties. The rhizome of angelica is short (5–8 cm), thick (up to 5 cm), and ringed on the outside. The stem is straight, thick, glabrous, arched, up to 2 m high.

The leaves are triangular in outline, double- or triple-pinnately dissected, with oblong, ovate or lanceolate sharp-toothed segments of the last order. Violet “belts” at the origin of the petioles of the lateral segments are very characteristic.

The central umbels are large, strongly convex, with 15–35 short-pubescent rays. The petals are white or pinkish on the outside. Blooms in July - early August.

The fruit is compressed from the back, brown, 4-6 mm long.
