Taxonomy: Fam. Euphorbiaceae// Genus: Euphorbia// Species: Euphorbia salicifolia Host

Determined according to the botanical keys provided in The Flora of Republic of Macedonia (Micevski, 1998).

Distribution: Native from the Central Europe to Balkan Peninsula and Ukraine (Plants of the World Online portal, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew), also Asiatic Turkey (The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: World Checklist of Selected Plant Families, 2010).

Habitat:  Clearings and edges of forests, woods, alongside roads.

Lifeform: Perennial; hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiaer system.

Flowering period: Spring- early summer: MAY, JUN.
