Determined according to the botanical key provided in The Flora of the Republic of Macedonia (Matevski, 2010).

Lifeform: Annual; Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Central and East Europe to Siberia and Iran according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Found on somewhat shaded and moist places – woods, near rivers.

Flowering period: Spring: APR, MAY.
