Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Sell and West in Tutin et al. (1976) as Hieracium caespitosum Dumort., Fl. Bel. 62 (1827) (H. caespitosum subsp. caespitosum). The accepted name in The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Greuter, 2006+) is Pilosella caespitosa (Dumort.) P. D. Sell & C. West in Watsonia 6: 314. 1967.
