Annual. Culms geniculately ascending, or decumbent; 20-100 cm long; 3-5 -noded. Ligule an eciliate membrane; 3-12 mm long. Leaf-blades 7-25 cm long; 3-10 mm wide. Leaf-blade surface scabrous; rough adaxially, or on both sides.
