This whimsical woodland plant prefers moist, shady areas rich in organic matter. Each flower cluster looks like a miniature galaxy, with colorful bracts surrounding the tiny central flowers. Blooms are held on tall stems and they make excellent cut flowers. This is a good perennial for the shade border or for naturalizing in woodland areas or along a stream.
