A low, ground-hugging plant, purple rockcress is an unusual variegated form. Its spring flowers are a rich purple. It is very cold hardy to USDA Zone 3. Where winters are mild enough, it is evergreen. This plant is ideal for planting the crevices of a stone wall or between the flagstones of a patio.
