Hedge bindweed is a twining, sometimes climbing perennial herb withg large bell-shaped flowers. It has alternately arrranged triangular arrow-shaped leaves. Tom S. Cooperrider in The Dicotyledoneae of Ohio Part 2 Linaceae through Campanulaceae (1995, The Ohio State University Press) as occurring  “Throughout Ohio; river banks, beaches, fields, fencerows, roadsides, railways and other disturbed habitats.”
