Marsh Helleborine - Epipactis palustris (Epipactis palustris)

Ive never really been satisfied with my photographs of Marsh Helleborine. We have a big colony about 30 miles away in Shropshire where they grow in an alkaline fen with Marsh Fragrant Orchids, Southern Marsh Orchids and Common Spotted Orchids and Dactylorhiza hybrids. Its difficult to get a decent photo amongst the tangle of grasses, reeds and sedges. I found this plant growing in a small colony on alkaline waste near Northwich and was able to get an uncluttered shot of the whole plant.
