Meum athamanticum

A pretty herbaceous perennial with finely divided aromatic leaves. From June to August the creamy white flowers are clustered in an umbel on thin stems up to 40cm tall, well above the foliage.

This plant was traditionally used in Scotland, where the roots where eaten, as well as being used in herbal remedies.

Spignel likes a well-drained soil in sun.
