This tough groundcover is known for its drought and heat tolerance. Named for its abrasive toothed leaves, Sandpaper Verbena is unappetizing for deer and rabbits. From summer through fall, small clusters of deep purple flowers emerge, attracting clouds of butterflies during warm summer months. This fast-growing groundcover is perfect for use in rock gardens, around pools, or along pathway edges. It does well in the ground or spilling over the edge of containers. Plant alongside cacti or agaves in the garden for easy color and soft texture.
