The amur maple tree (acer tataricum ginnala) will set your yard ablaze in the fall with beautiful red and orange leaves. They’re small- to medium-sized trees that serve as great windbreaks and have a wide zone range, preferring zones 3 through 8. I also have red maples that can serve zones 9-10. Amur maples are a top bonsai specimen. Please note that these seeds will need a period of cold stratification to aid with germination. Each pack comes with basic instructions for germination.
