This annual plant is suitable to a wide variety of climates, from arid to humid. Blossoming from Summer to Fall, this South American native is hardy in zones 2-10. Can grow 16" high. Plant in a mass grouping for stunning color and mix with other varieties for a true showstopper! Amaranthus plants are perfect for sunny borders. Brilliant color from spring to frost. Stalks can be used for flower arrangements, cutting and drying.
Amaranthus seeds can be direct sown in the garden after frosts have passed.
