Spiraea x vanhouttei 'Pink Ice'

Spiraea x vanhouttei 'Pink Ice' is a small, deciduous shrub with pale green leaves frosted with pink and white in the spring and small clusters of white flowers in the spring.  Spiraea x vanhouttei 'Pink Ice' is a colorful addition to the spring garden with  the new growth a pale pink, slowly fading to pale green leaves frosted and spotted with white.  Spiraea x vanhouttei 'Pink Ice' has the typical white flowers of the species and makes a massive visual impact when in bloom.  Spiraea x vanhouttei 'Pink Ice' is best in mixed shrub borders and is excellent in mass plantings.  Spiraea x vanhouttei 'Pink Ice' can be pruned heavily immediately after flowering (this will allow plenty of time for flower bud production for the next spring season) and heavy pruning will produce more brilliantly colored foliage.
