Erigeron annuus, or tall fleabane, is a hardy, short-lived perennial species native to grasslands in North America, including Connecticut, Maine and Massachusetts. Like Erigeron karvinskianus, it's a prolific flowerer and copious self-seeder, springing up in areas with poor soil.

It doesn't require much care at all, but for best results grow Erigeron annuus in full sun in well-drained soil. Tall plants might need supporting.
