Warranty & Returns

Standard Warranty:

All of our trees and shrubs come with a 30-day warranty from the date of delivery. This means that if your tree/shrub is damaged in shipment or if it dies within 30 days of your delivery, we will gladly offer a replacement or credit. Should you receive your tree/shrub during dormancy, and it does not emerge from dormancy by June 1st - the same replacement policy applies.

If, within this period, you notice any issues with the health or condition of your plants, please contact us immediately. We will work with you to provide a suitable solution.

1 Year Extended Warranty Option:

For added peace of mind, we offer a 1 year extended warranty option. You can choose to purchase an extended warranty for 12% of your cart total at the time of purchase. This extended warranty covers your trees and shrubs for 1 year from the date of delivery. If your tree/shrub dies within the extended warranty period, we will provide you with a replacement plant or issue store credit for the amount of your original purchase. Shipping fees are not included.

3. Warranty Claim Process:

If you need to make a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

  • Contact our customer support team at Support@GardensoftheWorld.com as soon as you notice any issues with your plant's health.
  • Provide your order number, a description of the issue, and photos documenting the issue.
  • We may request additional photos or other information to assess the problem.
FAQ

How are heights measured?

Tree and Shrub heights are measured from the top of the root ball or soil, measuring only the above ground portion of your tree or shrub.

How does shipping work?

We ship either UPS or via our own delivery trucks. After you place your order you'll receive notifications at each step of the way to keep you informed on your item's travels!

Many items are listed in Gallon sizes, what does that mean?

The Gallons refer to the size of the pot that the plant is in. It's simply an industry standard for sizing trees and shrubs. All of our items should have the actual height listed on the description page. If you have any questions regarding sizing, feel free to reach out to us!

This native perennial grass, also known as Grey Sedge or Large-Leaf Tussock Sedge, brings an earthy charm to any landscape. Read on to discover how to cultivate and care for this remarkable ornamental grass.

Growing Zones: Carex divulsa is adaptable to a wide range of growing zones, thriving in zones 5 to 9. Its flexibility makes it an excellent choice for various regions across the United States.

Key Features:

  • Height: Grows up to 2 feet tall, adding vertical interest to your garden.
  • Foliage: Arching, dark green leaves create a graceful fountain-like effect.
  • Texture: The fine texture of this sedge adds contrast to coarser plants in your garden.
  • Habit: Forms clumps that work well as ground cover or border plantings.

Basic Care Tips:

  1. Sunlight: Carex divulsa prefers partial to full shade, making it an excellent choice for shaded areas in your garden. It can tolerate some morning sun, but it thrives best in filtered light conditions.

  2. Soil: Well-drained, moist soil is ideal for Grassland Sedge. It's adaptable to a variety of soil types, including clay, loam, and sandy soil.

  3. Watering: Regular watering is essential for optimal growth. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Applying a layer of mulch can help retain moisture.

  4. Pruning: Trim back the old foliage in late winter or early spring to encourage fresh growth and maintain the plant's neat appearance.

  5. Fertilization: Minimal fertilization is required, but a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in the spring can provide essential nutrients for healthy growth.

  6. Pest and Disease Resistance: Carex divulsa is generally resistant to pests and diseases, making it a low-maintenance choice for your garden.

  7. Landscape Uses: This sedge is perfect for edging, ground cover, or as an accent in woodland gardens, shady borders, and even rain gardens.

  8. Winter Interest: Its attractive foliage remains green through the winter months, adding year-round interest to your garden.
