Pulmonaria angustifolia or the Blue Clowslip is a low spreading, rhizomatous perennial that produces deep blue funnel-shaped flowers through-out spring.
It has ovate green leaves that are rough and hairy with the flowers borne in terminal clusters atop a 30cm erect stem.
Because of its clumping habit it makes a good groundcover, grows well in rockeries, along the edges of borders and can be used in pots around patios.
Blue cowslip is a good attractor of bees to your garden.
Good on banks and slopes, as well as low maintenance flower borders.
