In his Celebration series, Jeff Koons (1955) reimagines common items in ultra-polished stainless steel, so that the sculptures’ bright colorful finishes reflect everything around them, building connections between the objects, the viewer, and the environment.
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Museum, Tulips has been removed from its usual location on the outside terrace next to the Atrium and installed in gallery 303, where it can be seen in a new light thanks to the opening of the original skylight, in interaction with other iconic, large-format Pop Art works in the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao Collection.
