Common Mallow - Malva neglecta
It is one of the most common weeds in probably all parts of the world except in severely cold areas. It has a long list of medicinal gualities and is being used as a food source. I found one interesting snippet of its use a long time ago and I will paste it so everyone knows how good it is.
Magic
Pliny the Elder held that simply sprinkling mallow seeds on to your genitalia would produce sexual desire to “an infinite degree” (Pliny, 1885). Mallow was eaten and ritualistically vomited by the Iroquois as a love medicine (Moerman, 2009).
Now the Common Mallow might become rare in the wild.
''Malva neglecta'' is also known as Common mallow in the United States and also buttonweed, cheeseplant, cheeseweed, dwarf mallow and roundleaf mallow. Although often considered a weed, this plant is reportedly consumed as a food. This is especially true of the seeds, which contain 21% protein and 15.2% fat.
