Amal Clooney and her husband George Clooney looked at home on the red carpet as they hosted a number of A-list celebrities at their annual Albie Awards.

The couple posed up a storm on the red carpet and oozed Hollywood glamour at the star-studded event, which was hosted at the New York Public Library. Amal, 45, looked incredible wearing a sparkling white gown which had a long flowing trail. She paired her figure-hugging outfit with a matching clutch bag and an eye-catching silver bracelet.

George, 62, looked very sophisticated as he wore a black tuxedo with a black bowtie. He opted for a pair of smart shiny shoes and completed his look with a silver wristwatch.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, body language expert Judi James said they definitely gave off a "power couple" vibe. She also said they seem to have perfected their media poses.

"Amal and George might joke about being a power couple but their impeccable, regal elegance and their pitch-perfect body language poses clearly define them as squad goals," Judi said. She suggested the likes of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be hoping to make friends with the couple.

Judi suggested Amal and George have managed to master the art of keeping private about their romance as they gave nothing away with their body language. She said: "Their years of experience have shown them that the way to shake off any soap opera interest in their relationship is to give nothing away.

"No new gestures or PDAs, no being egged on to run through the normal selection of celebrity red carpet poses, just a bullet-proof smile from Amal and some arm linkage to register togetherness but very little of anything off-the-cuff and more revealing. Amal in particular seems to have perfected one pose that she works to the point where we can even see her standing in it in the back of the transport that picks them up."

The expert pointed out how George was "once one of the more giving stars in terms of pranks, jokes, fun poses and face-pulling", but said he has now "perfected a nearly inscrutable facial expression that involves a sensible smile and some manly eye-crinkling." However, Judi added: "He does seem to yearn for the days when he could engage more with the cameras."

The couple wrapped their arms around one another as they posed for photos, before walking hand-in-hand. Judi said: "With their fingers meshed in their signature hand clasp to suggest closeness he keeps that clasp close to his own torso in a protective signal. He is also super-concerned about how she navigates her way into the transport, looking attentive to her dress and her physical safety, projecting some of that signature Clooney charm."
