Pineapple Weed

Erect, multibranched, hairless annual. When crushed has strong pineapple scent. Leaves to 2 in. long, deeply pinnately divided into many linear segments. Flower heads 1 or many on 1–2 in. stalks. Heads with very short or no ray flowers, cone of disk flowers yellow-green. Grows in moist waste places, cultivated soils, riverbanks. A common North American and European weed but a Pacific Northwest native.
