Sorbus aria ‘Magnifica’
This Whitebeam is a small tree with large leaves which are dark green on top and white underneath. It has white scented flowers in April/May followed by red fruits in the Autumn. Magnifica looses it leaves much later than Sorbus aria Lutescens, and therefore these two make a good pairing when planting as an avenue of trees
A good choice for parks, streets and also urban gardens as it requires little maintenance.
Ideal conditions – Sun to partial shade. Frost hardy and wind resistant. It is generally undemanding and adaptable to soil conditions.
