Ansel Adams photography exhibit opens at Sonoma’s Scott Nichols Gallery

The Scott Nichols Gallery boasts one of the largest private collections of classic California photographers such as Edward Weston, Brett Weston, Dorothea Lange, Imogen Cunningham, Ruth Bernhard, Wynn Bullock and William Garnett.|

The Scott Nichols Gallery is hosting the historic black-and-white work of California’s most famous photographer, Ansel Adams. Through Oct. 14, visitors can see “Ansel Adams: an Exhibition in Wine Country.”

The exhibit includes photographs spanning his decades of exploration in the American West from Yosemite National Park to the desert gardens of the southwest. In addition, the exhibit will feature vintage photographs and the Bay Area.

The opening reception for the exhibit will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, at 450 First St. E., suite G.

The Scott Nichols Gallery is a fine art photography gallery located in the Mercato Complex on the Plaza. It houses one of the largest private collections of classic California photographers such as Edward Weston, Brett Weston, Dorothea Lange, Imogen Cunningham, Ruth Bernhard, Wynn Bullock and William Garnett.
