Dentaria glandulosa

Dentaria glandulosa is a perennial plant from the Brassicaceae Family. It is common throughout the Carpathians. It likes shady places and can be found in dense forests. In the Low Beskid, it is found in deciduous forests. In the Tatras it can be found up to the elevations of 1500 meters. The plant smells similar to garlic and can grow from 10 to 30 cm in height. It blooms in April. The flowers are pollinated by insects. The Low Beskid - Slope of Mount Przymiarki - April 15, 2008. Additional information: Dentaria glandulosa is considered a sub-endemic species. It grows mostly in the Carpathian Mountains, but it can be also found in small numbers in areas beyond this range.
