Gladiolus imbricatus ( in Polish Mieczyk dachowkowaty) is native to southeastern Europe. In Poland this plant is on endangered species list and it is most abundant at the foothills of the Tatra Mountains. It grows in wet meadows and marshes and flowers from May to July. Gladiolus imbricatus can reach the height of 1 meter.
