Robert Pires’ son already handed captain’s armband of Arsenal’s Under-9 side after tearing up academy

ARSENAL may have a familiar name tearing up the Emirates in the near future.
Gunners legend Robert Pires' son, Theo, has been setting the youth team alight and has already been handed the captaincy of the Arsenal Under-9 side - just months after joining the academy.
His talent has quickly been recognised by Arsenal's youth coaches and they wasted no time in promoting him as captain of academy side.
Dad, Robert, was the first to congratulate the budding prospect by uploading a post to Instagram with his son wearing the captains armband with the caption: "Captain Theo! Well done U9! You did well today."

And if he is anything like his father, then Arsenal have a real gem on their hands.
The 43-year-old Frenchman spent six years with the club after signing from Marseille in 2000 and was part of the famous invincible side that went the entire 2003-04 season unbeaten.

Arsenal will be keeping their fingers crossed that Theo can emulate his father's success after signing his first deal with the club in May.
