Do not ask Kate Beckinsale questions about Pete Davidson unless you're ready for an epic clapback.

That's what one Instagram commenter found out when asking the 45-year-old actress, who has been romantically linked to the "Saturday Night Live" comedian, who is 20 years her junior.

"Is that a painting of Pete Davidson?" the Instagram commenter inquired about a picture showing Beckinsale standing extremely close to what is clearly a photo of Queen singer Freddie Mercury.

"Great eye," the "Underworld" star sarcastically replied. The mistake might have been easier to forgive if the commenter had asked, "Is that Rami Malek?")

Beckinsale had even cheekily captioned the post, "Trying to look like someone who was not wildly over excited about this picture or startled while planning a sneaky lick of Freddie’s eyeball."

Beckinsale and Davidson, who famously split with singer Ariana Grande last year,  were spotted out together last month at a Golden Globes after-party.

In January, the actress dodged another fan's comments about her relationship with the "Saturday Night Live" cast member. She had posted a throwback photo of her mother to which one fan responded: "Dear heavens, Kate. Not Pete Davidson."

Beckinsale assured the fan that, in fact, the person in the photo was not Davidson.

"No that's my mother. Easy mistake," she responded.
