Description

A dwarf shrub that grows on dry, stony meadows and rocky hillsides on calcareous soil up to 1700 m altitude. One of the most common Rock-roses in the Mediterranean region.

Flowers

The flowers are borne in racemes of 3-5.

Leaves

Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle, Elliptic oval leaf {end-tooltip}. Long, oval to pointed, covered in long, white hairs. The leaves are often clustered in rosettes at the apex of the branches.

Fruits Seeds

Capsule: oval, almost smooth.
