Description
Very straight, slightly purplish, hairy stem. The leaves when burnt keep insects away.
Dry or rocky slopes, open scrub on calcareous soils.
Flowers
The flowers have only disk florets and give the impression of not being fully open. The sepals are thistle-like.
Leaves
Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle. Long, wider in the middle, pointed.
