Description
The seed-heads make this plant noticeable. The seeds are in groups of 5-6.
Flowers
The tiny flowers are in umbels of 1-3 rays. Each flower has 5 petals: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 large.
Leaves
Bipinnate leaflets on either side of the stem, each leaflet is further subdivided. Linear, serrated leaflets on either side of the stem; each leaflet is further subdivided.
Fruits Seeds
Schizocarp: a dry fruit with a long beak, upright, 2-8 cm, ending in 2 tiny V-shapes and splitting into single seeded parts when ripe.
Edible
Leaves: flavour is a cross between carrot and parsley.
