Flowers with deep yellow disk florets and yellow ray florets.
Leaves
Elliptic oval leaf, Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle. Oval to long, pointed, entire, serrated, alternate on the stalk, to 10 cm long.
Fruits Seeds
Achene: a cluster of 1-seeded fruit with hairy pappus.
Edible
Young leaves.
Medical
Leaves and flowering tops: internally to treat urinal and genital inflammations, considered to be a tonic for the kidneys; externally for wounds, insect bites and ulcers.
