In 1963, the little black chick with the eggshell on his head was created as an advertising character by the Italian brothers Toni and Nino Pagot. For this character, the Japanese studio Toei Animation produced an anime television series in 1972, which was also broadcast in several European countries such as France and Germany. A second season followed in 1992. The series is about the little chick Calimero and his friend Priscilla, who experience many adventures in Palermo. Then, in 2014, there was a renewed appearance of Calimero in a computer animation series.
