France-based TF1’s TFOU block and Alphanim are joining forces on the development of the new CGI Calimero series, which is based on the cartoon character created in 1963 by Pagot.

Following the adventures of lil’ black chick Calimero and his friends Priscilla and Valeriano, the 104 x 11-minute series is aimed at kids ages four to seven and is slated for a 2013 delivery.

Alphanim will distribute the program and manage the brand internationally on behalf of Calidra, the rights owner. TF1 Licences was appointed as the agent for France while TF1 Vidéo acquired video rights to the future series.
