Abstract

Clinical presentation of scabies varies according to age. Scabies in infants and children shared specific signs on preferential locations (palmoplantar burrows, axillary nodules, involvement of the face, scalp and dorsum of the forefoot). This pruritic eruption can have a serious impact on the sleep and development of children. Infants and children are more vulnerable because of the importance of close contact with their parents and their environment. Thus, knowing the clinical presentation of scabies in children is crucial to avoid delayed diagnosis, treat quickly and prevent contamination of relatives.
