How To Choose Hairstyle According To Face Shape- Male

Namaste people! I hope you all are doing great! Today I am here with another demanded post on men’s hairstyles. Few of my friends have been wondering to experiment a bit with hair but, the relevant doubt they face is “will it suit the face shape?” Well, it is definitely essential to consider your face shape when going for a new hairstyle. However, regardless of this fact, you must experiment if it makes you happy! To continue with the stated dilemma that men face, you must first identify your face shape. I know, there are millions of illustrations that can help you categorize your face shape, but in the real world, the face shapes can be combinations of various shapes that we see in guides/illustrations.

With this post, I would try to share some points that would help you pick the right hairstyle for yourself!

Hairstyles for Round Face Shape-Men

When the face has rounded edges instead of sharp and slender ones, further the width and length is more or less similar, then it can be considered as round shaped. The ideal way to balance the round shape with the hairstyle is to go for ones that give length to your face. It is not advisable to opt for fringes or the ones that cover your forehead.

Hairstyles for Oval Face Shape-Men

The oval face can be defined by features such as rounded edges around forehead and cheekbones and a slightly narrow finish around the jaw/chin. Men with oval face shape can go with varied hairstyles like spikes, messy fringes, quiff, etc. In short, whichever gives a bit of volume on top and the sides.

Hairstyles for Square Face Shape-Men

You guys are lucky if you have a square face! You can experiment with almost every hairstyle existing on this planet. Go with quiffs, a pompadour, side part, spikes, fringes, layers, bob, anything!

Hairstyles for Oblong Face Shape-Men

Imagine stretching the round face vertically and, the resultant shape you get is oblong. This shape shows more length and a lesser width. So, to balance the shape, go for the shorter haircuts; ones that offer more volume on sides. Side part, brush-up and side-combed would be suitable for oblong face shape.

Hairstyles for Heart Face Shape-Men

Having a wider upper half and significantly narrow lower half will be considered as a heart-shaped face. The trick here is to balance the narrow jawline and chin by giving uniform volume on the top area of the head and little on sides. You can go with swept-back hairstyle, side part with medium layers and even man-bun.

Hairstyles for Diamond Face Shape-Men

It is tough to find the perfect textured hairstyle for diamond face shape as there are many edges. The middle area (around eyes and cheekbones) is relatively wide than the forehead. The jawline and chin are well-structured and angular. Try some side-part textured fringes and if you have curly hair then bam! It would look amazing! Lengthy layered hair would be best for the diamond shape.

Hairstyles for Traingle Face Shape-Men

Is the jaw widest part of your face? If yes, you’ve got triangle face shape. Just imagine the lower two widest points of a triangle to be on both the sides of your jaw and last point on the top. Thus, the forehead is narrow. You get a great chance to flaunt wavy layers and side fringes; don’t go for angular spikes or pompadour as it will make your forehead look much narrower.

These are common face shapes. Yours might differ a bit/it might be the combination of any of the above, but if you keep the points(of balancing the structure) in mind, you will be able to choose the right hairstyle.

I hope this post helps you. Do share it with your brethren XD. If you have any confusions in identifying your face shape or choosing a haircut, you can reach me 😀
