The only thing that is time consuming is the little part that guides the battery in place. It’s tricky to get in. I used needle nose pliers and bingo. Took the computer board out the old key and place into new key. Works like a charm. Got the key cut at the Ford dealership and done.

Key came in perfectly. It came completely ready for assembly. You would have to disassemble your old key and use your old board that is inside and chip and you would have to get your key cut. For faster understanding this key is a three-piece style key. The key comes with a back in front cover with New Buttons, you would have to have your original parts which means your computer board and key chip if done properly assembled properly you will not have any issues

My key broke and saw this. Checked out the reviews and pulled the trigger. Not to hard to put together. My only complaint is the small metal spring that touched the battery to the board moves. So after about a month it wouldn't lock or unlock ect. Had to take it apart and readjust it. Now.everynweek or so I have to do it again. Other than that it's a lifesaver. Way better than having to pay almost 400 to program and cut a new key.

Not much to say. Case is good as long as you have good insides to transfer from your key. Problem for me is the circuit board in my old key, had a worn out copper activator switch below the door unlock key (all others worked fine) so a circuit board was needed.

I took the innards from one of two replacement fobs I also ordered from the same company (BOTH screwed because they came precut) and the programming instruction found via internet did not program the key though it properly turns the ignition switch after cutting. For me, the next step is to see if somewhere like Batteries Plus can use its equipment to program my FrankenFob.

Make sure you know what you are doing. Apparently there is a sensor in the metal key.....that the vehicle can detect. Switching the guts over to these new fobs didn't work and no key cutter would cut a key bought somewhere else.
Ended up paying Ford $800 for 2 new keys and $30 each to cut them. It's a scam.
