Flowers are followed by masses of bright red berries which last throughout autumn and part of the winter looking very attractive and providing food for garden wildlife. Pyracantha Coccinea ‘Red Column’ thrives in average, fairly fertile, neutral to alkaline, moist, well-drained soils. It grows best in full sun to partial shade. Once established, tolerant of drought. It is resistant to frost, but needs to be sheltered from harsh, winter winds. Low maintenance plant, it doesn’t require pruning.
