The history of Alessandro International
Founder Silvia Troska first discovered acrylic nail extensions in the United States and brought this technique back to Germany. In 1989 she opened her first nail salon with the intention of making women happy by giving them beautiful nails. In order to be able to keep up with the competition, she teamed up with chemists to develop a new UV gel system that launched only one year later in 1990. These new gel products had to meet the following criteria:

- odourless
- flexible
- does not yellow
On her business travels around the world, Silvia Troska realised that women prefer an all-encompassing range of manicure products, so she developed separate hand, foot and nail care lines for different skin and nail types. Over the years, Alessandro began to grow into an international brand.
